Thirteen. This was getting old hat now, but the arena was much different this time. Much like yesterday, this battle would take place on the beach of Lilycove. If it were summer, some folks might have been using the courts for volleyball. Instead... this was Genny's terrain of choice.[break][break]

Walking on up, and checking her watch, she looks to the sunset. The orange wash over everything making a picturesque fighting arena. Now just for any takers.[break][break]

As Genny crosses her arms, as someone eventually does take the stage. And Genny grins. "Hello! Nice to meet you! Name's Genny." she holds a hand out, with Gordo jumping onto her shoulder, to try and get in a thumbs-up.[break][break]

"Don't go too easy. You're looking at the next Hoenn champ."

A big sportsmanship handshake later, and Genny can't help but smirk wide. "I like a guy with confidence. But we'll see about that." But the moment she sees that Pikachu pop out of his backpack, there's a squee, as the Sandshrew, Gordo, waves politely to the little Pikachu.[break][break]

As they move to their respective sides of the beach, Genny DYNAMAXS Gordo, a massive armadillo at the ready. Electricity won't hurt Gordo, but, the thing is... this was a points game, less of a victory. So Genny had to outmaneuver Aaron.[break][break]

Therefore. First up? "Rockfall!" And with it, the barrage of rocks from MAX ROCKFALL begins to close the distance onto Aaron's Pikachu.[break][break]

With the sandstorm going off, the battle begins.[break][break]

somehow, his pikachu gets through the max rockfall without taking damage, ducking and diving across the beach like each boulder is a dark souls boss to be dodged away from. she tumbles through the sand and miraculously onto her feet, then feels the unsteadying rumble of max quake as it begins to build strength. Uh-oh. This was... the first time this had ever happened. Genny's face riddled with sweat. Now that Aaron's Pikachu was Dynamaxing, she realizes how she'd thrown everything right out of the gate! Now that that Pikachu was big, Gordo had one more turn! But, he tanks that MAX GEYSER![break][break]

Returning it back, with a fading, and smol inducing MAX STEELSPIKE, a whole barrage of steel spikes to hurt the Pikachu's little toesie woesies.[break][break]

And now, landing on the ground, the goliath was on the other side of the arena. Oh boy.[break][break]

aaron has to admit — he'd underestimated Genevieve Cromwell . he'd seen a cute, bubbly girl and expected something akin to something lighter. like his battle with Marianne Lovelace . but this girl is an actual sweatlord, pummeling his pikachu with max move after max move. This was the moment. The moment the MAX STRIKE comes, Gordo begins falls, attempting to dodge a brunt of it. The sheer size of the dynamax blast has Gordo spin out, thrown off his game, but with the added benefit of not being a direct hit, the Sandshrew begins to rev and spin, the SAND RUSH allowing him to go faster.[break][break]

"Keep moving! Hit and run tactics, Gordo!" And with it came the empowered ROLLOUT strikes done back to the massive Pikachu. Little by little, to chip away at the massive goliath of an electric mouse.[break][break]

The MAX GEYSER blasts Gordo back, the geyser itself something the small armadillo isn't expecting. Is this how the pressure always felt different when the DYNAMAX was on the other foot? Genny can't help but feel cornered.[break][break]

"Speed up, and blind'em!" Attempting to blind the big chungus electric mouse, Gordo spins into the sand of the beach arena repeatedly, he attempts one helluva SAND ATTACK. Pocket sand time.[break][break]
